Moving to Canada

Moving to the other side of the world can seem a daunting prospect. Getting the help of professionals will help to make the move trouble-free, leaving you free to enjoy the prospect of new life in Canada.

How long will it take to ship my belongings to Canada?

Canada is a vast country and thus shipping to Canada differ in many ways, set out below is the estimated time frames for shipping a FCL (shipping container) on a door to door basis.

Also included in the “part load” estimated transit time, albeit this can differ, please see our enclosed guide.

Location Port-Port/Terminals Door – Door Part Load
Montreal 16 days 28 days 40-50 days
Toronto 18 days 30 days 40-50 days
Winnipeg 23 days 35 days 45-60 days
Calgary 20 days 32 days 45-60 days
Edmonton 20 days 32 days 45-60 days
Vancouver 24 days 36 days 45-60 days

Some shipping lines do offer slightly faster transit times, however this is a guide only and based upon a "land bridge service" which means that the containers will arrive at the terminal in Montreal and be railed or driven to the destination terminal.

Other extended transit times can be offered via Suez Canal.
